Trisha Goddard stunned Good Morning Britain viewers on Thursday as she launched a rant about Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague‘s split.

The TV personality, 66, discussed the Love Island stars’ recent split with presenters Richard Madeley and Richard Arnold.

Fans were shocked when the influencer, 25, shared the bombshell news that she and the boxer, also 25, had broken up after five years together.

And after the pair announced their separation in an emotional social media statement on Wednesday, pizza company Domino’s issued a statement on X which led Trisha to compare the couple to King Charles III and Lady Diana.

As Trisha made the comparison, she failed to give an explanation, leaving the studio in an awkward silence.

Richard began the showbiz segment by detailing the breakup and mentioned that Molly-Mae and Tommy’s split triggered a wave of reactions.

Mentioned how they came second place on Love Island, Richard said: ‘This goes to show the impact over the last five years and they didn’t even win the show.’

Domino’s social media post reads: ‘Everyone at Domino’s joins the nation in mourning the break-up of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury’s relationship. Our thoughts and condolences are with them at this time.’

Trisha claimed the company is trying to make money ‘out of somebody’s misery, adding: ”Well, I don’t know whether it’s a bad impact or money-making, people making money out of somebody’s misery.

‘I’m sorry, businesses are commenting, it’s about ‘how many more people can we pull into our website?”’

She added that the technique is ‘clickbait’, saying: ‘But there’s a real family and there’s real people here so my reaction was more about the coverage’, before trailing off: ‘Charles and Diana…’

There was then several seconds of silence before Richard was forced to jump in and say: ‘we’re respecting their privacy as we wish them all the very best.’

Prior to this awkward moment, Trisha was forced to apologise to viewers after she was ‘caught’ looking distracted on screen due to a Love Island story.
