Katie Alexander, who has gotten very close to the GB News presenter, was pictured donning the ring on her wedding finger.

Katie has denied that the pair are engaged, but Ruth is reportedly still ‘upset’ by the ordeal.

The former This Morning cohosts split back in May after 27 years together, with Ruth trying to keep things amicable for their 22-year-old son Jack.

‘She would prefer it was done in private but she understands that there will be interest – it just feels like another blow – and she feels embarrassed about it all’.

A representative for Katie, who works as a relationships counsellor, released a statement saying: ‘There is no riddle. Ms Alexander is not engaged to Mr Holmes.’
