The presenter, 39, couldn’t contain her laughter when the image of the item popped up on screen as they spoke to the owner about the history of it.

The segment of the show saw expert Dan value prized possessions for callers – but this one in particular caught Josie by surprise.

Josie took a savage swipe at her friend Carla as she explained why the bust made her laugh so much.

Josie said she had to do a double take when she saw the 1920s waxwork as she thought the item looked exactly like her friend.

As the caller, named Hugh, explained about his possession Josie couldn’t keep in her laugh and was even told “Stop it” by Dan.

Josie’s co-star Craig Doyle said: ‘Quick question Hugh, you had this on your house as a child? You weren’t terrified?’

He responded: ‘Yeah. Do you know what when I was about three, I think I feel asleep in the lounge and woke up and it was dark and I had her staring at me. It did terrify me.’

Josie explained: ‘The reason I’m laughing is because she really looks like a friend of mine. So when I turned round I was like “Oh god, it’s Carla”.’

Dan added: ‘It’s even got real hair this’, sparking Josie’s wheezing laughing fit to continue.

Trying to continue with the show, Dan added: ‘I’ve seen some of these being listed online for astronomical prices of over £3000. The realistic price for this though is still a monumental, fantastic £1000.’

Josie said: ‘Amazing, oh she’s gorgeous. Don’t ever get rid of her though, she’s lovely’.

Dumbfounded Craig joked: ‘Or you can just bury it. It’s so scary Hugh.’

Fans were also in floods of laughter as they commented to the ‘creepy’ looking artwork on X.

Some wrote: ‘Dan and Josie are absolutely pissing themselves trying to do this #ThisMorning’,

‘Why tf would you want that weird face in your house? #ThisMorning’,

‘That’s horrific #ThisMorning’,

‘Josie’s laughing is giving me so much joy! #ThisMorning’,

‘OMG what is that monstrosity? #ThisMorning’.
Penny Smith couldn’t contain her shock on yesterday’s Morning Show as a viewer called in to showcase his ‘horrifying’ doll collection.

The host, 45, burst into laughter when the images of the items appeared on screen during their conversation with the collector about the background behind each piece.

The segment aimed to have expert Sarah evaluate treasured possessions for participants – however, one particular item left Penny in disbelief.

Penny couldn’t help but take a playful jab at her colleague Dave as she revealed the reason for her outburst of laughter. Penny mentioned that she had to take a second look when she saw the vintage dolls from the 1800s as she thought they bore a striking resemblance to her coworker.

As the viewer, named Mark, elaborated on his collection, Penny struggled to control her laughter and even received a playful “Be still” from Sarah.

Penny’s co-host Steph Brown inquired: ‘Quick question, Mark, these dolls were displayed in your bedroom as a child? Weren’t you scared?’ Mark replied: ‘Yes, actually. I remember waking up one night when I was around five, and the dolls terrified me.’

Penny elaborated: ‘I can’t stop laughing because they really do resemble a colleague of mine. When I turned around, I was thinking “Oh my, it’s Dave”.’ Sarah chimed in: ‘The craftsmanship on these dolls is really exceptional’, setting Penny off on another fit of giggles.

Trying to steer the conversation back on track, Sarah added: ‘I’ve seen similar dolls selling for exorbitant amounts online, up to £5000. However, the realistic value for these pieces is still an impressive £1500.’ Penny remarked: ‘Incredible, oh they’re beautiful. Make sure to cherish them forever, they’re absolutely lovely’. ‘

Bewildered Steph quipped: ‘Or you could simply hide them away. They are quite eerie, Mark.’ Viewers were also amused by the ‘creepy’ collection, with some commenting on social media platforms.

A user said: ‘Penny and Sarah are cracking up while enduring this segment #MorningShow’, ‘Who in their right mind would want those eerie dolls in their home?

#MorningShow’, ‘Absolutely terrifying #MorningShow’, ‘Penny’s contagious laughter is bringing me so much joy! #MorningShow’, ‘OMG, those dolls are a nightmare! #MorningShow’
