Lisa Maffia didn’t mince her words when she called out Carol McGiffin as “a rude a**hole” during a candid podcast appearance.

The “21 Seconds” singer criticized the former ITV *Loose Women* panellist on the *Livin’ Lavida Loca* podcast, calling her “rude” and suggesting her relationship with a younger man had gone to her head.

When asked about the “worst  celebrity she’s met,” Lisa said, “Oh, I know this one. She was an original *Loose Women* panellist, such an a**hole. Was it Caroline?”

Lisa elaborated, describing Carol: “She was older with a short bob, greyish-blond hair, and started dating a much younger guy. It went to her head, and I had to check her.”

The host of the social media show, Lavida Loca, clarified if she meant Carol McGiffin, to which Lisa confirmed: “Yeah. That’s it, McGriffin or Griffin, little flippin’ gruff, billy goat gruff. Nah, she was rude. I will tell you as it is, don’t try me.”

The former Loose Women presenter has since responded via her spokesperson who told Express.co.uk: “Carol doesn’t remember meeting her and doesn’t know who she is”.

Carol first met her husband back in 2008 when she was 48 and he was just 26 – before tying the knot in a secret Bangkok ceremony in 2018.

The broadcaster was previously married to  TV and radio presenter Chris Evans having tied the knot in 1991 but separated three years later. Their divorce was finalised in 1998.

Carol, who appeared on the ITV programme on and off since 2000, has blasted Loose Women and “doesn’t miss being on the show”.

She announced in May she had left the lunchtime show, protesting ITV insisted she sign a contract with clauses that were “totally unjust and unworkable”.

Following her exit, she told Women’s Own magazine: “No, I don’t miss Loose Women at all. My pronouns are P and Off. It’s just very woke and I can’t deal with the wokeness.

“That’s not why I am not there. I am not there because of other stuff.”

Carol added she misses her co-stars but “doesn’t miss being on TV”.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
Carol McGiffin has found herself in the center of controversy once again, this time with former So Solid Crew member Lisa Maffia. In a recent podcast appearance, Lisa didn’t hold back when she called Carol a “rude a**hole,” claiming that her relationship with a younger man had gone to her head. The singer described Carol as an older woman with a short bob and greyish-blond hair, pointing out that she had to “check her” for her behavior.

Despite Lisa’s harsh words, Carol has responded through her spokesperson, stating that she doesn’t even remember meeting the singer and has no idea who she is. This isn’t the first time Carol has faced criticism, having left Loose Women earlier this year due to conflicts with the show’s producers. She cited the show’s “wokeness” as a factor in her decision, expressing that she doesn’t miss being  on TV at all.

Carol’s tumultuous personal life has also been under scrutiny, especially her relationship with her husband, whom she met when she was 48 and he was 26. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Bangkok in 2018, following Carol’s previous marriage to Chris Evans in the 1990s.Despite the drama surrounding her, Carol remains unfazed and unbothered by the criticism.

She continues to live her life on her own terms, away from the spotlight of daytime television. As she moves forward from her time on Loose Women, Carol embraces the freedom of being away from the show and focusing on what truly matters to her.

In a world filled with gossip and drama, Carol stands as a beacon of confidence and resilience. She chooses to live her life authentically, unapologetically being herself. While clashes with other  celebrities may come and go, Carol remains true to who she is, unafraid to speak her mind and stand her ground.

Carol’s journey serves as a reminder that in the face of adversity, staying true to oneself is the ultimate victory. As she navigates through the ups and downs of fame, Carol remains a shining example of strength and independence. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience and self-love, inspiring others to embrace their own unique journey, no matter what challenges may come their way.
