A MAN has been charged with murder after a BBC star’s wife and two daughters were killed in an alleged crossbow attack.

Kyle Clifford, 26, “tied up and shot” racing commentator John Hunt’s family Carol Hunt, 61, Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, at their home in July.

Mr Hunt had returned to the house in Bushey, Herts, after work to find the horror.

Paramedics and cops tried to save the three victims but they were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Armed officers launched a manhunt for Clifford before finding him injured in a cemetery in Enfield, North London.

He was arrested on suspicion of the triple murder and has now been charged with Carol, Louise and Hannah’s deaths.

Clifford is also charged with false imprisonment and two counts of possession of offensive weapons, say cops.

Police had previously been unable to interview Clifford whilst he received treatment for an injury in hospital.

Clifford has been remanded in custody and will appear remotely at Westminster Magistrates Court today.

Lisa Ramsarran, Chief Crown Prosecutor, said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Hertfordshire Constabulary to charge Kyle Clifford with three counts of murder following the deaths of Carol, Louise and Hannah Hunt in Bushey on Tuesday 9 July.

“Mr Clifford, 26, who was later found by police in Enfield, has also been charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon and one count of false imprisonment.

“Our thoughts remain with the Hunt family and all those who have been affected by this tragic incident.

“As criminal proceedings are active, there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online that could prejudice the defendant’s right to a fair trial.”

It is understood Clifford had been in a relationship with younger daughter Louise which had ended shortly before the tragedy.

In a heartbreaking final post, she re-tweeted a quote that read: “I admire women who leave, idgaf if you left after the 1st time or the 12th time I admire s***!

“Idgaf if ppl calling you dumb for 11 years but in the 12th year you decided you was done. It takes A LOT of strength to break a tie. It takes ALOT of self love to choose yo self.”

Tributes previously flooded in for the sisters and their mum, who has another daughter who lives in Birmingham.

Su Kehinde, 60, who lives nearby, said: “They were the loveliest, gentlest family. They did not deserve this. They were beautiful souls.”

While her daughter April said Hannah, who worked as a beautician, “always had a smile”.

She added: “She was hard-working, a hard grafter and really gentle.”

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner said: “Our thoughts remain with the Hunt family and their loved ones as they continue to come to terms with their loss.

“Over the past couple of months, we have been working hard to gather as much evidence as possible and establish the full circumstances of what happened that day.

“Today, we have managed to secure charges against Kyle Clifford in connection with the murders of Carol, Hannah and Louise Hunt.

“Although it has taken some time to reach this stage, we can now move forward with the judicial process and seek justice for their family.”
