Joey Lawrence’s estranged wife shared a cryptic message about “loss” and “freedom” before filing for divorce from the “Blossom” alum.

“Not everything you lose is a loss. Some things are a freedom,” read the quote posted on Samantha Cope’s Instagram in June, the same month she noted in court documents obtained by Page Six as the now-former couple’s date of separation.

“Some things are a second chance. Some things are a miracle in disguise. Some things are a detachment long-needed, a clarity brought to blurry eyes,” the passage continued.

The rest of the carousel’s images featured Cope with her and Lawrence’s 1-year-old daughter, Dylan Rose.

Cope, 37, filed for divorce from Lawrence, 48, Wednesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split.

The “Insecure” actress waived any rights for spousal support but requested sole physical custody of their daughter and asked that Lawrence be allowed visitation only at Cope’s discretion.

Cope noted in her filing that she is opposed to the former child star taking their daughter for extended periods of time until she is old enough to consent.

“Once Dylan is 3 or older, Joe will have the option to take her for 2 nights in her home location if he is not working and can facilitate her visiting. He will not take her for long, extended periods of time until she is old enough to specifically ask for the visitation time and all parties agree and able to facilitate,” the court documents read.

“He must be available for the full time she is visiting while she is a minor. She is not to be in the presence of any non-family members while with Joe unless agreed upon by Samantha.”

The pair met while filming the Lifetime movie “My Husband’s Secret Brother.” They became engaged in August 2021.

“Guess the cats outta the bag,” Lawrence told his Instagram followers at the time. “We are beyond excited to see what the future holds for us and to know we will grow old and super wrinkly together is the ultimate blessing.”

Lawrence admitted to People magazine in December 2023 that their marriage was “very unexpected” because he normally does not court his co-stars.

“That was just very, very much out of the ordinary for me,” he said. “I’ve never actually gotten into a serious relationship with somebody that I actually worked with, never.”
