STRICTLY Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke has shared his pride at going solo – after seemingly cutting ties with Giovanni Pernice.

Anton and Giovanni became a dynamic duo on screen after meeting on Strictly, hosting a travel show together and going on multiple UK tours together.

However, following Giovanni’s unceremonious exit from Strictly over accusations of rehearsal room bullying, their travel show was shelved.

After completing an already booked tour with Gio, Anton is now going on it alone for an upcoming three month tour.

Appearing on The One Show today, Anton shared his excitement at his new tour, titled ‘Showman’, which kicks off in October, as well as his new book.

However, he barely mentioned Strictly, which started on Saturday, or his former dance partner.

Instead, he heaped praise on his new co-stars and teased fans what to expect next.

The pair have been sharing updates online of their progress, and seem to be getting on well.

“This is song, dance and a bit of chat as well,” he told hosts Alex Jones and Vernon Kay.

“So we open again in October, and we go all the way through til Christmas. But this is exciting, this is my favourite thing, really, standing on stage, singing and dancing and sort of in conversation with the audience as well.

“They send me questions up via tape.”

While Alex joked that could prove “a bit risky”, Anton joked: “Yes, it’s great fun. A different show every night, but during Strictly, of course, everyone’s got an opportunity to ask me whatever they want.

“So in amongst all the great music, the wonderful Lance Ellington with me again, our incredible band and dancers and a lovely young lady called Laura Emmett, who’s going to be joining me for the first time, who’s just finished at Frozen, and she’s… what a talent.

“So if nothing else, come and see Laura. She’s brilliant.”

While Anton is leading the new tour, Giovanni has relocated to his native Italy, even landing a job on the Italian version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle.

Although the results of the BBC’s investigation into his conduct continues, Gio is now in rehearsals with dance partner, actress and musician Bianca Cuacerro.

Giovanni has also revealed his own massive 78-date UK tour, ‘The Last Dance’, which will start next year.

Anton Du Beke is ready to take on his new solo venture with his upcoming tour titled ‘Showman’, where he will be showcasing his singing, dancing, and conversational skills to the audience.

The excitement is building as the tour is set to kick off in October and run through until Christmas.

Anton expressed his enthusiasm for the new project during his appearance on The One Show, where he focused on the upcoming tour and his new book rather than his past collaborations on Strictly Come Dancing.

The talented dancer will be joined by a host of new co-stars in the show, including the incredible musician Lance Ellington and the talented young lady Laura Emmett, who recently finished her stint at Frozen.

Anton couldn’t help but shower Laura with praises, urging fans to come and witness her brilliance on stage. The show promises to be a unique experience each night, with audience members getting the chance to interact with Anton through questions sent up via tape.

While Anton is gearing up for his solo tour, his former dance partner Giovanni Pernice has ventured back to his native Italy and landed a job on the Italian version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle.

Despite allegations of rehearsal room bullying and an ongoing investigation by the BBC, Giovanni is pushing forward with rehearsals for his upcoming 78-date UK tour titled ‘The Last Dance’ scheduled for next year.

As Anton and Giovanni pursue their separate paths in the world of dance, fans eagerly await the opportunity to witness their individual talents on stage. Stay tuned for more updates on their journeys and more valuable information to come.
