KATE Garraway will be absent from Good Morning Britain all week in a shock show shake-up, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

It comes after we reported she was off-air earlier this month after her father suffered a suspected stroke and heart attack.

Kate, 57 – who appears on the ITV daytime series every Thursday and Friday – has not been back on-screen since we reported she was keeping a bedside vigil with her dad Gordon.

Now The Sun can report how Ranvir Singh, 46, will be filling in for her on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, accompanied by Ed Balls, 57.

On Friday, the presenter line-up will be re-jigged further, with Charlotte Hawkins, 49, at the helm alongside Rob Rinder, 46.

A spokesperson for ITV told The Sun how mum of two Kate “is on pre-arranged leave.”

It has been a rough year for the broadcaster, who lost husband Derek Draper, aged 56, earlier this year.

Derek died on January 3 from complications of long Covid.

Both Gordon and her mum Marylyn, as well as Derek, had shared Kate’s happy moment when she was bestowed an MBE by Prince William at Windsor Castle last June.

Earlier this month, we told how Kate had dashed to Cornwall after covering for GMB co-host Susanna Reid, 53, to care for her dad.

At the time, a source told us: “Very sadly, Kate’s father collapsed earlier this week while staying , along with her mum and her brother in Cornwall.

“It was incredibly frightening as he was found unconscious and immediately taken to hospital.

“Kate rushed to be by his and her mum’s side minutes after GMB finished on air.

“It seems likely that he’s had a stroke and possibly a heart attack as well – doctors are still doing tests.

“He remains in hospital and is currently stable but, understandably, it’s given the whole family a terrible scare and they are praying he can recover.

“Luckily Kate is due to be off work for a few weeks anyway so she can divide her time between the hospital whilst simultaneously looking after Darcey and Billy.

“After the horrible, heartbreaking year they have had, it’s so important to Kate that they try and have a normal summer break.

“It’s a very stressful time for the whole family but as ever Kate is doing her best to look after everyone.”

Kate recently insisted her daughter Darcey celebrate her 18th birthday with a party, to keep her life as normal as possible as well as as a way to remember her dad.

Meanwhile, Kate’s pal and GMB co-star Laura Tobin, who presents the weather, recently gave an update on her wellbeing.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the TRIC Awards, Laura said: “Kate’s doing great! She’s the most incredible human being.

“Still she’ll always ask how you’re doing and how everyone else is doing.

“We’re moving house and she’s always asking about my move and my daughter.

“She remembers everyone else and she doesn’t always put herself first – if it was me I wouldn’t.”
