Taylor Swift’s fellow diner at the restaurant in Sydney where she enjoyed a up meal alongside the support singer on her Eras tour Sabrina Carpenter has revealed what she was like behind closed doors
A man who ate out at the same restaurant as Taylor Swift in Sydney has revealed what happened as she stepped out to the eaterie.
Marketing Consultant Chris Melotti was having dinner at Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills when he spotted Taylor and her opening act Sabrina Carpenter also enjoying a bite to eat at the Italian restaurant. Taylor was already inside the eaterie when Chris arrived to enjoy his meal seated just metres away from her.
Chris admitted that he was treated no differently by staff at the restaurant despite the global superstar in their presence – and said his food was lovely. He didn’t realise anything unusual was happening inside the venue until a gathering of fans started to form outside.

Speaking to news.com.au Chris said initially he thought the queue at the door was due to the popularity of the eaterie but then another customer revealed those waiting outside were looking to meet someone famous. He then spotted that they were wearing Taylor Swift merchandise and realised the sudden appeal.
While Chris was dining upstairs and Taylor was downstairs, he still managed to catch a glimpse of her as she passed him when she was getting ready to leave. Chris explained how he was told to wait while she left and accompanied by her security made her way through the waiting crowd.
Despite the whole encounter being very fast with Taylor “whisked” away to safety Chris said he did notice one thing in particular about Taylor – how kind she was to everyone she had an interaction with. He said: “She did thank all the staff, which was lovely, and she was absolutely beautiful! Her aura and persona was beautiful.”
He said it was amazing to see first-hand the amount of hysteria she could cause – adding that some fans were crying. Chris also noted the impact seeing Taylor had on her fans. He added: “All the girls were crying around us! Everyone was going, ‘Oh my god,’ and seeing her impact was interesting!”

Chris also admitted feeling it was lovely to have been a part of the moment because Taylor’s impact on everyone had been “beautiful” and he was “honoured” to have been there. Meanwhile, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is ready to cheer on Taylor Swift as her “Eras Tour” continues this year. His dad has even hinted at the places he might join her.
Taylor flew all the way from Tokyo, Japan, to see Travis and his team win the Super Bowl earlier this month. It was her 13th game watching him up close in the NFL season. Travis also flew to Buenos Aires, Argentina, during his bye week to watch her sing.
Now that the football season is over, Travis can join Taylor wherever she goes. His dad, Ed Kelce, thinks Travis might fly to Sydney and Singapore to see her perform. “Well, look, we spoke after the Super Bowl, and I asked him, ‘Are you going to take off for Sydney?’ And he seemed keen,” Ed told The Sydney Morning Herald. “He said he’d really like to see Sydney and Singapore, but he wasn’t sure because he has commitments. He is at a celebrity charity golf outing today (Tuesday), which, I think, is in Las Vegas.”
