Social media is going crazy after an old clip resurfaced of “Oz the Mentalist” technically correctly guessing the Super Bowl 58 match up last year.

The world-famous mentalist and magician paid a visit to the New York Jets’ facility to film some “Hard Knocks” clips last year. In one viral clip, Oz met with then-Jets receiver Mecole Hardman and asked him who the team would face in the Super Bowl.

 

Hardman predicted a 31-21 final score for the Jets. After Hardman revealed his picks, Oz revealed that he had a 31-21 Jets victory over the 49ers written on a card.

As everyone knows, it’s actually the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. But as noted by the “betr” Instagram account, “Oz” was simply asking Hardman to predict the score of the Super Bowl that HE WAS GOING TO WIN.

After a frustrating stint with the Jets, Hardman was sent back to the Chiefs (where he played from 2019 to 2022) ahead of the trade deadline. So if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, and if they win by a final score of 31-21, then Oz and Hardman will have aced the prediction.

 

And social media was totally at a loss for words after this viral clip resurfaced…

The Chiefs and 49ers also met in Super Bowl 54 four years ago, with Kansas City emerging victorious 31-20. Will history repeat itself, or will the 49ers get long-awaited comeuppance?
