Scott Swift allegedly got into a scuffle with paparazzi in Sydney, Australia after their team claims the Australian photographer was antagonising the singer’s staff – but the paparazzo will drop it if Scott does one thing
Taylor Swift ‘s dad, Scott Swift, was accused of attacking a paparazzo in Australia this week, and the man is willing to forgive the father of one of the biggest stars in the world – but only if he apologises.
Scott was escorting his daughter to a waiting SUV in Sydney, Australia with Taylor’s security team, days after Taylor spent a romantic zoo date with Travis Kelce. Taylor covered up with a black umbrella, obviously not wanting to be seen.
Ben McDonald, a 51-year-old photographer, filed a complaint to the New South Wales Police Department. He claimed that a 71-year-old man, who’s believed to be Scott, punched him.

The photographer told TMZ that if Scott would just issue a formal apology to him, he would forgive him and drop all the charges. But it doesn’t seem like Taylor’s father wants to apologise anytime soon since Taylor’s team claimed McDoanld was in the wrong, not Scott.
Taylor’s representative told the outlet: “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”
Police are reported to be investigating the incident and determining whether or not a crime was committed. Officials added that the alleged victim did not require any medical attention but McDonald claimed that he had “very sore chops” on the left side of his face.
McDonald is adamant that he did nothing wrong that day at 2 a.m. at Sydney’s North Shore. He spoke to the Daily Mail, giving his side of the story.
“He probably decided he needed to defend his daughter, for some reason,” McDonald said, “In 23 years I have never seen anything like it. She got off the boat, she walked towards security guards who were shoving umbrellas in our faces.”

He continued to say that Scott “charged” at him even though McDonald, reportedly, did not antagonise or provoke Taylor or Scott in any way. The incident was partially captured on camera, when a video showed a group of people including Scott and allegedly Taylor approaching the group of paparazzi until a scuffle began and the footage became blurry.
This isn’t McDonald’s first time having an encounter with a celebrity. In 2005, actress Nicole Kidman was able to get a restraining order against him.
McDonald and his colleague Jamie Fawcett were ordered to stay 60 feet or more away from Nicole’s house after the star found a listening device on her property. The Moulin Rouge star claimed in court that she felt like a prisoner in her own home and feared for her safety.
