Both of Cristiano Ronaldo’s legs are reportedly insured for $99 million, so the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star pales in comparison on such a front. David Beckham also famously had his face and legs insured for $175 million.
The Argentinian finally captured the one accolade which had been eluding him for all of his career when he helped La Albiceleste beat France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final last month. He can now call himself one of the most accomplished players in the history of soccer, something Ronaldo will likely never have a chance to do given his age.
Messi continues to play at the highest level, now at Paris Saint-Germain, and will have at least one more opportunity to win another Champions League trophy. But it appears Ronaldo’s cause is lost in such regard too as the Portugal forward has signed soccer’s most lucrative deal with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
