Eagle-eyed pop-culture detectives are working overtime to get every detail of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance in line. We all know about the bracelet with his phone number, the missed connection at her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, and the big reveal that happened at the Chiefs game in July, but according to the man himself, the two may have actually linked up before that fateful Sunday afternoon. Over the weekend, which saw Swift return to Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 31 to 17, Kelce dropped what may be a relationship bombshell that involves his facial hair and a tip for anyone wanting to dress up as the couple du jour this coming Halloween.

“That ‘stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit,” he said during a press conference on Oct. 20 when a reporter asked what fans would have to replicate if they were planning a Travis and Taylor joint costume. And then came the reveal: “And I had it when I met Taylor for the first time.”

Kelce had the mustache at training camp back in August, which means that he and Swift may have had a rendezvous before the game where she was seen in the VIP suite alongside his mother, Donna.

Of course, another detail to add to any costume would be the bracelet that he crafted for her.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis admitted on an episode of his podcast, New Heights. “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

The rest of the romance is history, naturally, with just about every move the two make spawning headline after headline.

“They’ve been texting and talking here and there,” an insider told E! News back in September after the two hung out in New York City. “It’s been very low-key as he’s been in season.”

And it appears the couple in question is in on every joke. When Saturday Night Live spoofed their romance, they were both ready to go. Kelce has hosted the show in the past and both he and Swift made appearances during the season premiere.

“Just decided to hit SNL last second and they kinda asked me if I wanted to end the skit that was about me and Taylor’s takeover at the NFL games, which was hilarious,” Travis added during the press conference. “I loved every bit of it. I was laughing my tail off during the skit.”
