New details about Taylor Swift’s dinner in Sydney last night have emerged.
The star’s meal at Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills marked the first time she had been seen in Australia besides performing her sold-out shows in Melbourne or entering and exiting her private jet.
Fans descended on the popular Italian restaurant eager to glimpse the singer eating out with fellow celebrity and her opening act Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaking with news.com.au, marketing consultant Chris Melotti revealed he just happened to be eating at the restaurant and was left shaken to see the international sensation.
Mr Melotti explained that the singer had already arrived by the time he had rocked up to have dinner, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
He had no idea that arguably the most famous woman in the world was chowing down mere metres away from him.
Mr Melotti said to the restaurant’s credit it was easy to have no idea there was an international star in their midst because staff were incredibly attentive during their meal, and the food was lovely.

There was no sense of panicking in the background as they tried to impress the pop singer, and all patrons were getting equal attention.
It wasn’t until a line started to form outside the restaurant that the penny began to drop that something big was happening.
At first, Mr Melotti said he just assumed it was because they were at a popular Italian restaurant, but then another patron said people were arriving because they wanted to meet someone.
Then, he realised most of the people loitering outside were wearing Taylor Swift inspired clothing.
Although Swift was dining downstairs and he was upstairs, he caught a glimpse of her because she passed him as she made her way to leave.

Mr Melotti explained he was instructed to wait while Swift exited and made her way through the crowd of fans as she was flanked by security.
He said the whole thing happened very quickly and Swift was practically “whisked” away to safety, but he did get a chance to learn one detail about her.
He said he was delighted to see that she made a point of being kind to anyone that she interacted with, even when it was brief.
“She did thank all the staff, which was lovely, and she was absolutely beautiful! Her aura and persona was beautiful,” he told news.com.au.
He said it was amazing to see first-hand the amount of hysteria she could cause – adding that some fans were crying.
“All the girls were crying around us! Everyone was going, ‘Oh my god,’ and seeing her impact was interesting!” he said.
Mr Melotti said it was especially lovely to witness because her impact was nothing short of “beautiful”, and he felt honoured to have been there in the moment.
